Every shipment put in the hands of ROME will be covered by standard carrier liability. In fact, ROME goes well beyond industry standards to ensure every piece of equipment we contract to carry a load is equipped with both cargo and liability insurance. We are listed as policy holders in all circumstances, and are sure to double check safety ratings and authorities.
However, there are limitations to how much this insurance covers and depending on the value of the shipment; it could leave the shipper open to financial risk.
It is ROME's duty to make sure every aspect of every shipment is looked at, and often times ROME recommends going above the traditional carrier liability to ensure the load is covered in all circumstances. ROME is pleased to be able to offer a complete insurance package for all shipments over the road, sea or air in house and can quote this seamlessly with no extra effort required on behalf of the customer.
